It’s probably no surprise that everyone at Sport Court of Austin has played sports in some capacity. I was never an all-star basketball player, but I knew how to get under my opponents’ skin in the paint to throw them off their game.
Brent “Coach” Murphy—well, the nickname says it all—has a bit more expertise than the rest of us. But the one thing we all share? A relentless drive to be the best. Not just individually, but as a team.

Let’s be honest—we set out to be the best court builder in the world. We get there by focusing on the fundamentals: teamwork, unity, and leaving our egos at the door. That alone puts us miles ahead of the competition, but we don’t stop there.

That’s why we created The Stocktons, a recognition we give out each week at our all-hands meeting.After troubleshooting any hiccups, tackling scheduling challenges, or refining our processes, we take a moment to highlight the teammates who went above and beyond in the past week.
If you don’t know who John Stockton is, don’t worry—we won’t make fun of you. At least not publicly. Stockton holds the NBA record for most assists—by a landslide. The next closest player is still 3,500 assists behind. He was tough, unselfish, and relentlessly consistent. While other players showed up in flashy sports cars, Stockton rolled up in a minivan full of kids. Then he got out and dominated.
